Spring Show 2016

We were pleased to welcome the Reading Garden Club again this year for an "Art in Bloom" presentation on the stage. Members of the Garden Club matched floral arrangements with selected paintings.

Here are the bios of the judges

Nella Lush

Nella Lush is a juried artist member of: Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists; National Associations of Women Artists in NYC; President of the National Association of Women Artists, MA Chapter; Rockport Art Association, Rockport, MA-Board of Trustee; Founder and chair of the Experimental Group of Rockport Art Association; North Shore Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists; National Associations of Women Artists in NYC; President of the National Association of Women Artists, MA Chapter; Rockport Art Association, Rockport, MA-Board of Trustee; Founder and chair of the Experimental Group of Rockport Art Association; North Shore Art Association, Gloucester, Ma.

Steve Lush

Steve Lush is a self-taught artist and master model shipwright. He works mostly with watercolor, oil, gouache and sometimes pastels (or all three combined). Many of his maritime-themed pieces are a result of research on specific ship construction plans and port scenes. Besides his plein air sketches or pencil studies, Steve has a large collection of reference books, ship construction plans and the model ships he has built to compose his paintings. His painting style is "painterly" adding detail in the process. He is a Signature Member of the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA) and of the New England Watercolor Society and artist member of the Rockport Art Association, Rockport, MA, and the North Shore Arts Association, Gloucester, MA.
